Is education mandatory for a competent minister????

Its been pointed by the congress politicians that some discrepancies are there regarding the incumbent Minister of Human Resource Development, Smriti Irani's educational qualification as given by her in the 2004 and 2014 affidavits.

                            MY TAKE ON THE MATTER

As what Dr.Rajendra Prasad said educational qualification doesn't matter if the minister has dedication and commitment towards his/her work. The main concern pointed to by the CSDS professor Madhu Kishwar was that she(Smriti Irani) doesn't have a proven track record and a mere television actress can't be given a cabinet rank looking after education.
My view in this regard is that we shouldn't neglect Smriti Irani's meteoric rise with an effortless transition from a TV actress to a politician unlike many of our well known highly educated politicians and she has had her mettle proven in the Rajya Sabha. Prima facie that should be noted.Another thing that needs to be noted is that there is distinction between education, literacy and intelligence. Even if one doesn't have a proper certificate oriented degree or higher qualification, if he/she does have atleast that intelligence to prognosticate the possible threats while taking a decision and take positive measures as required , that itself could be treated as the right qualification.
Moreover the cabinet and the ministry was chosen by a Prime minister who has proved himself as a great administrator and if he chose her or whoever in the ministry its because what he needed is a group of people who will act upon his policies and won't detach themselves from the yet to be started rigorous process of making a nation prosperous that would meet the expectations of the people of the largest democracy in the world...........

FROM KALAVOOR TO KALARCODE..........

Hi frndzz.......

Dis is a journey thru where all we've lived as of yet. Wen my sister was 1 year old my amma was appointed as high school teacher in Govt.Higher Secondary School,Kalavoor.(Wen i was months old amma joined a govt school in Pandalam as a UP school teacher....There she taught a lovely girl...her name was Poornima....nd hence my name Poornima...... :-D .... :-P).......At dat time we were living in my father's house in Thottappally......As it was difficult 4 my mom 2 travel all dese 30+ kms 2 Kalavoor , we shifted 4 d frst time frm there 2 a small house 4 rent in Kalavoor......(Nw u may thnk , can dis 30+ kms really make a trouble......Yes,nd dat too nt 4 us,but 4 my mom,as she was suffering frm...rheumatoid arthritis...bcoz 7 or 8 mnths before joining she was paralyzed .......nd was in bed 4 one month..But thank God ,she recovered after suffering for one month...I don't remember dose incidents....bcoz @ dat time i was only 3 years old nd my sis was some 3 or 4 months old.....)We lived there (in Kalavoor) 4 nearly one & a half years nd den.......another shift....to Alleppey town(Somewhere b/w Thumpoly & Thondankulangara......dat was wen i was 5 years old....)bcoz my amma was transferred to Kuppappuram,a village in Kuttanad where there is no other means of transport other than boat.......nd my father was transferred to Ernakulam,PSC.....From der we shifted to a place near Thathampally.....As we were given dat home only for a short while we again made another shift which was near dat house itself. It was when we got here dat my mom got transfered 2 a school where frm den until nw she is.....
To tell abt my father's transfers...itz a long list..consisting of Alleppey,Ernakulam,Trivandrum,Palakkad,Idukki and Thrissur districts....nd all dese times we were looked after by my mother along with my dad's elder brother & sister.....These 2 people(my grandparent's 4th  nd 9 th children...... :-D ...10th nd d youngest being my father....))are unmarried......So dey are alwys ready 2 take care of us whenever required.....May be God has foresaked dese troubles 4 my mom nd decided......let them remain unmarried......So come back 2 wer we stopped.......  : )  But this home was where me & my sister together started enjoying our childhood...bcoz see, before dat my sister was too young 2 play with me..We lived there for 3 years(When i was in my 2nd,3rd and 4th classes..)U knw , dat was hardly 1 km  away frm Nehru Trophy Boat race starting point....2 or 3 times our father took us der 2 watch d race.....Since we were too short we hardly had a glimpse of "wat is actually going on der???".....nd frm den we'd never been der 4 d sake of watching Nehru Trophy Boat race nd started watching it live on TV.........U might hve heard of children who loves 2 play in the rain...On the contrary, me & my sister loved 2 play outdoors in a sunny day b/w 12 pm & 2 pm........  :-O  :-D  .....All dese kiddish plays were done wen we were der.......

Thennn.......wen i was in 5th standard, we bought our land to built up our dream home in Kalarcode nd shifted  2 a home which is 400 meters from der......There we came across Amal & Alka(Our Kittu & Kathu), the house owner's grandchildren........Kittu & Achu (my sister) are of same age,bot wer in 3rd standard den......From den onwards until nw dey r great frnds(great duffers actually..... :-P) .....Nd Kittu was like my younger brother.....Nope.....he is my younger brother.......But Kathu was like a play doll for us....she was only 4 or 5 years old den ......(Although i too was only 10 years old.....for me it was like ......she is a small kid.......nd i'm their super sister......lol........ :-D )

After having some good time der we den made our move 2 our own home(Arsha.......This is the name of our house........)on 26th May 2003.......More pecisely during my 6th class vacation........Being kids our thoughts were like we never can make such beautiful shifts from one place to another  where on the other side our parents thought was like hoooo.....All dese horrible shifts r over.......[The house was named after my Amma's decision......bocz even if u write the name in English or in Malayalam....it'll have the letters from all of our names nd has d meaning......"dat which pertains to a sage or a place where u seek for peace"......It wasn't much difficult 4 my Amma to find such names being a University Rank Holder in Sanskrit......(Sanskrit was her subsidiary subject,Malayalm being d main for her post graduate course...)]

This is our journey "FROM KALAVOOR TO KALARCODE"......Next time i'll b here on our life @ Kalarcode......... :-D
