Is education mandatory for a competent minister????

Its been pointed by the congress politicians that some discrepancies are there regarding the incumbent Minister of Human Resource Development, Smriti Irani's educational qualification as given by her in the 2004 and 2014 affidavits.

                            MY TAKE ON THE MATTER

As what Dr.Rajendra Prasad said educational qualification doesn't matter if the minister has dedication and commitment towards his/her work. The main concern pointed to by the CSDS professor Madhu Kishwar was that she(Smriti Irani) doesn't have a proven track record and a mere television actress can't be given a cabinet rank looking after education.
My view in this regard is that we shouldn't neglect Smriti Irani's meteoric rise with an effortless transition from a TV actress to a politician unlike many of our well known highly educated politicians and she has had her mettle proven in the Rajya Sabha. Prima facie that should be noted.Another thing that needs to be noted is that there is distinction between education, literacy and intelligence. Even if one doesn't have a proper certificate oriented degree or higher qualification, if he/she does have atleast that intelligence to prognosticate the possible threats while taking a decision and take positive measures as required , that itself could be treated as the right qualification.
Moreover the cabinet and the ministry was chosen by a Prime minister who has proved himself as a great administrator and if he chose her or whoever in the ministry its because what he needed is a group of people who will act upon his policies and won't detach themselves from the yet to be started rigorous process of making a nation prosperous that would meet the expectations of the people of the largest democracy in the world...........
